Our Philosophy
Since our inception over 30 years ago, Barielle has stood apart as the absolute first to practice a progressive “3-free” philosophy on formulation: absolutely none of Barielle’s products contain Formaldehyde, Toluene or Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP)—chemicals that are suspected to be harmful. Instead, we have enlightened the world on safe, effective and natural alternatives such as Keratin, Proteins, Vitamins, and Oil and Plant Extracts.

Our History
Barielle’s story began in the unlikeliest of places: the legendary Belmont Racetrack. Husband and wife equestrian aficionados, Howard and EsteLee Price, devised a breakthrough formulation to condition the hooves of their million-dollar thoroughbred racehorses. As weeks went by, the Prices discovered that they had also created a million-dollar product for nails—one that would quickly become an integral element in the modern manicure and pedicure. The cream, which strengthened their horses’ hooves to resist splits and cracks, had the same effect on the nails of the jockeys that applied it. Reformulated for women and men, the miracle product “Nail Strengthener Cream” was born and Barielle was founded.

Our Collection
For over 30 successful years, Barielle has expanded to include a wide range of lacquers, creams and treatments that deliver fast-acting results, remedy existing damage and help protect against future damage to nails, hands and feet. The product collection identifies and classifies concerns including weak, discolored, splitting and hard-to-grow nails, and also offers an assortment of scrubs, creams and lotions dedicated to exfoliating, moisturizing and hydrating hands and feet. Working intimately with top dermatologic and nail technician professionals, we are committed to staying true to our origins while remaining on the forefront of cutting-edge formulations and industry trends.

In 2005, the color polish collection, Shades by Barielle, launched the company into nail fashion, positioning Barielle as the ultimate source for beauty from tips to toes. Each season, new trend-setting hues that paint nails in the latest fashion are added to a core collection of classic colors.
