DEFINITION
Ganglion Cyst
A painless and harmless lump under the skin that is filled with fluid, usually found on the wrist or over a joint.
Gap
Cuticle gap is the tiny bit of space left between a polish and the cuticle and walls of the nail. The space is left to make a manicure look clean and tidy and depends on personal preference.
Gas
One of the three states of matter.
Gel (Alternate Chemical Definition)
Gel is thick OR high viscosity liquid, in nail industry gel refers to nail paint which is dried using U-V light.
Gel (Gel Nails)
Nail gel is thick OR high viscosity liquid, in nail industry gel refers to nail paint which is dried using U-V light
Gel Cleanser
Process of removing gel from nails using acetone-based nail polish remover.
Gel Light
Gel Light refers to UV light that is used to harden gel nail paints.
Gel-Polish
Gel Polish is nail paint that is applied on nails as nail polish and is dried/hardened under a UV light.
Gels
Nail gel is thick OR high viscosity monomer liquid, in nail industry gel refers to nail paint which is dried using U-V light .
Germicide
Substances that can kill germs.
Ginseng
Ginseng is a slow-growing herb known for its medicinal, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
Glass Fleck
Nail polish with slightly larger glass fleck particles (that sparkle in light) as compared to normal shimmer polish.
Glimmer
Glimmer is nail polish with very small glitter particles that gives the polish a shiny color.
Glitter
Polish with glitter in it.
Glomus Tumor
Glomus Tumor are slow-growing benign tumor. When on nail bed they can be removed with surgery.
Glue
Glue OR nail adhesive are substances that are used to stick nail enhancements.
Glycerin
Glycerin is a colorless, odorless, viscous liquid used to moisturize skin, in nail industry it is used in nail moisturizers and nail hardeners.
Glycolic Acid
An alpha-hydroxy-acid that is used as an exfoliant and used in skin lightening and anti-aging products. It is derived from sugar cane.
Granuloma
Granuloma is a benign vascular tumor caused due to inflammation.
Grapefruit
Grapefruit is a tropical citrus fruit with sour and sweet taste, high in nutrients, antioxidants and fiber it helps in boosting immunity.
Green Tea
Green Tea is extracted from Camellia Sinesis plant and because of its high antioxidants is used to heal and protect ski.
Greenies
Term used to describe nail which looks green because of water trapping between an artificial and natural nail.
Grit
Grit defines how rough nail file is. The lesser the number, the more coarse or rough it is.
